The book, published annually, is filled with the convention's primary documents and reports from each of the SBC’s entities and state convention partners.

ORLANDO, Fla. (BP) – Leaders from across Baptist state conventions and Southern Baptist entities gathered April 15-16 for a training event focused on furthering partnership across the convention. The Cooperative Program is the nearly 100-year-old mechanism for funding cooperative missions work across the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and the 41 state or regional Baptist conventions.

NASHVILLE (BP) – Southern Baptist leaders are calling for prayer and peace in the wake of Iran’s direct attacks on Israel. The attacks occurred overnight Saturday Jerusalem time (April 13) as hundreds of drones and rockets were launched in retaliation for a strike Israel made April 1 against an Iranian consulate.

LENEXA, Kansas (BP) – Steve Dighton will nominate David Crowther to serve as Southern Baptist Convention first vice president at the 2024 SBC Annual Meeting. Crowther is the pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Wichita.

ONTARIO, Calif. (BP) – Accolades are pouring in for Adam Groza, who was nominated to follow Jeff Iorg as president of Gateway Seminary. The formal announcement was made April 2, and Gateway trustees are expected to vote during their meeting April 15-16.
